DEARBORN, Mich., October 1, 2008 – Ford Warriors in Pink is partnering with NBC’s highly anticipated new comedy “Kath & Kim” on several initiatives to help raise breast cancer awareness and emphasize the importance of early detection. The partnership will include a special episode of “Kath & Kim” airing October 16 at 8:30 p.m. ET /7:30 p.m. CT, a national print advertising campaign, more than 1,000 “House Parties” and the new 2008 Warriors in Pink apparel collection. This campaign further solidifies Ford’s long standing, 14-year / $95 million commitment to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Warriors in Pink Clothing Featured in October 16 Episode of NBC’s “Kath & Kim”

The October 16 episode will include a special edition of “Wine Time,” which features Kath & Kim talking over a glass of wine at the end of each episode. During the special episode’s “Wine Time,” Kath & Kim will encourage viewers to become Warriors against breast cancer and generate passion for the cause.

Also during the October 16 episode, viewers will have the opportunity to “Watch and Win” the highly coveted 2009 Warriors in Pink Mustang. The Warriors in Pink Mustang, a limited-edition Ford vehicle designed exclusively in support of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, will be Kim’s car throughout the entire season of “Kath & Kim.” For each sale of the in-demand vehicle, Ford will donate $500 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Information about how viewers can “Watch and Win” will be announced during the October 16 episode.

In conjunction with the October 16 episode, Ford has organized more than 1,000 Warriors in Pink “House Parties” across the nation where friends and family will gather together to watch “Kath & Kim”. Recent Ford buyers, and those who have been affected by breast cancer will host the parties with the Warriors in Pink and “Kath & Kim” party packs to inspire others to support the cause.

National Print Advertising Campaign & 2008 Apparel Line

Starting October 9, the 2008 Warriors in Pink apparel collection will be featured in print ads in national publications including People, TV Guide, Entertainment Weekly and Us Weekly. Molly Shannon and Selma Blair, the stars of “Kath & Kim,” will appear in the ads modeling select pieces that are available for purchase at www.fordcares.com. 100% of the net proceeds from the apparel sales will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
